Who we are.

Situated 20 minutes outside of Saskatoon in the picturesque South Saskatchewan River Valley, Spring Valley Stable features 40 acres of amenities for the discerning equestrian.  The property is fully designed with the horse in mind. From the large grass paddocks to the cozy and quiet barn we make every effort to house happy and healthy horses. 

Clients enjoy safe and individualized horse care and our boarding services are fully customizable to ensure each individual horse's needs are met.  Riders enjoy numerous training spaces including a newly built sand arena, grand prix sized grass jump field and an abundance of bridle paths. Our trainer is on sight and oversees the horse's day to day care, turnout, training and feed programs. The horses are cared for by a well trained team of professionals.

Riders enjoy a full and diverse event season. SVS travels to shows across Canada and into the United States.  Clients can enjoy having every aspect of their show season taken care of.  From arranging transportation to providing full grooming and coaching services SVS is experienced in providing exceptional client care and delivering a first class show experience.  For our more recreational riders we provide an abundance of training opportunities and fun social horse activities like course days and trail rides throughout the year.

SVS is a welcoming community of passionate equestrians. Connected by our mutual love of everything equine we find friendship and support in our group of riders and their families.  The facility is a place of gathering.  Parents, siblings and young children are all welcome and will enjoy our numerous amenities.  

Spring Valley Stable currently provides a complete lesson and training program for both horses and riders striving to improve their horsemanship or meet competitive goals.  We provide complete training for the elite equestrian athlete, handle all logistics associated with showing and provide top quality care for our equestrian athletes.  We provide all this in a close team environment that promotes respect, support, encouragement, collaboration and team work within our riders.

Spring Valley Stable is proudly owned and operated by The Franklin Family. Holly Franklin grew up in Calgary, AB and became very involved with horses at a young age. Throughout her teenage years she actively competed in hunter/jumper competitions across Canada and into the US. As a young woman Holly became interested in teaching and started coaching young riders after highschool. 

Holly continued to pursue her passion for horses and began a career in Equine Sports Therapy following her post secondary education.  Now, with over 25 years of riding experience and over 10 years of coaching experience Holly is focused on developing the next generation of horsewoman. With her husband Eric, Holly has developed Spring Valley Stable to provide high quality coaching and horse care to the Saskatoon horse community.
